What Should They Do First?

Last week, I visited a non-profit organization for my another course project. The organization provides services to immigrants and refrugees to help them have a better life in te community. Everythings seems good: they run tens of years, they have own social network, they try to make markets works, administrator is willing to share hterleadership. But, I strongly felt their daily operations are messy. The administrator has the same concern. I asked for why it happens, though they have great experiences. The administrator said: they don't have money.

I am saying money is everything, but when a organization couldn't survey anymore or they hardly survive. All the criteria and rules are ridiculous for them. The people in the organization want to change. What should be their first step? In my own opinion, it is network and making their market work. As the Forces For Good author says, they can cooperate with for-profit organizations or run for-profit organizations for more funding. Not only focusing on what should do based on their mission, but also he have to force themselves to improve to be more complicated organization. To them, funding is limitation. Let's make more money. For other organizations, facing your limitation and shortage is important.
