Inertial Thinking of Individual and Organization

In the book The Hidden Forces That Shape Our Decisions, D an Ariely, the author focuses on the daily inertial thinking strategy of people's choices. Not only do we make astonishingly simple mistakes every day, but we make the same types of mistakes, Ariely procrastinate. We fail to understand the profound effects of our emotions on what we want, and we overvalue what we already own. Yet these misguided behaviors are neither random nor senseless. They're systematic and predictable - making us predictably irrational.

The same to organizations. Last week, Xiaofei raised the topic of Long Tail Theory, which based on human behavior theory and technology development application. Hidden power of social behavior is another interesting topic for us to discuss. Individuals or organizations tend to make decisions by they experience and so-called benefit. They like to make business or cooperate with others who are familiar. In non-profit development, it make advantages to organizations in first steps but later limited connection.

I think we can build a system helping organizations connect to each other and broaden their horizon.
